24: Redemption

24: Redemption was a 2-hour film based on 24 and takes place between seasons 6 and 7 on the Inauguration Day of the first United States female president, Allison Taylor.

Jack Bauer is based in Sangala, a fictional African country, working as a missionary at the Okavango School, run by an old mate Carl Benton, played by Robert Carlyle.

Jack is issued with a subpoena to appear before the Senate in the U.S but he refuses to go.

Bauer is forced to leave the school after the embassy reveal they will cut the funding if he continues to work there.

The school is then targeted by rebels and Jack is able to hide the children underground who kills several men before being captured and tortured.

Jack kills the leader of the group, Ike Debaku’s brother Youssou which provides ramifications later in the day.

Ike’s helicopter spots them as they plane to flee back to America on the last helicopter to leave the country but Benton steps on a land mine, dying for the sake of the children as he bides them time to get to get to the American embassy in time.

But when Bauer tries to get the children onto the helicopter they are denied entry unless Jack faces the torture charges back in the U.S.  He reluctantly does so.

Whilst back in America, the conspirators helping Debaku and General Juma force Chris Whitley to get rid of all the information that would lead back to them, but after alerting the President’s son Roger, Whitley is killed by Jonas Hodges’ men and buried in concrete.
