KIEFER appeared on Jonathan Ross last friday and talked about his role as Jack Bauer in 24 and how emotional it was shooting the last scene of TV drama.

HERE is a look back at a trailer for the final season of 24!
KIEFER SUTHERLAND revealed that the script is complete for the planned movie, “24: The Movie”.
Writer Billy Ray finished it a couple of weeks ago and Sutherland revealed his plans to look at it upon his return to the States.
Kiefer revealed the good news at a BAFTA Q&A session but it is not known when filming will begin yet and no director has yet been appointed
When 24 first came out when I was back at secondary school (seems ages ago now, must be getting old!) I wasn’t really interested in it, but a couple of my mates were raving about how good it was but I just ignored them. And it wasn’t until last year that I started to watch it. When one of me housemates lent me the first series I thought I will give it a go but wasn’t expecting to watch the whole lot. But how wrong was I? I was gripped from start to end and there is no way you can just watch one hour without watching 2 or 3 on the DVD’s and since then I have not looked back. After starting to watch the current series, 8 with the aid of a bit of help from one of my Uni mates (you know who you are!) I am still gripped and can’t wait to watch the next hour in the life of Jack Bauer. How did all of you get hooked by it? Was it like my school mates right from the beginning? or just like me in the recent years?

3. Cheng Zhi (Tzi Ma)

CHENG appeared in series 4, 5 and 6 of 24 and was the head of security at the Chinese consulate.
After being appointed head of investigation after its consul had been killed.
Cheng found out about Jack’s involvement in the death and captured him at the end of day 5.
Cheng tortured both Jack and his lover Audrey Raines before acquiring the Russian FB circuit board on day 6 before being captured by CTU and held in custody and is only one of two villains to stay alive, the other being Mandy from season 1,2 and 4.
2. Nina Myers (Sarah Clarke)

AN original CTU agent, Nina conspired with Victor Drazen and his family in season 1.
During the day’s event she also killed Teri Bauer and Jack was keen for revenge.
Myers was arrested at the end of season 1.
Nina was granted presidential pardon after helping CTU with a location of a contact on day 2.
She was also given immunity in advance for her planned killing of Jack and Syed Ali’s location.
But she was wounded and apprehended before she could kill him.
President David Palmer honoured agreement and was exiled to North Africa.
In season 3 she tried to buy the Cordilla virus for a client but was eventually killed by Jack after she tried to escape.
1.Alan Wilson (Will Patton)
Will Patton
ALAN was behind the sentox nerve gas threat on day 5, con conspiring with President Charles Logan, Graem Bauer and three others.
He was also responsible for the deaths of Michelle Dessler and former President David Palmer and the attempted deaths of Chloe O’Brian and Tony Almeida.
At the end of Day 7 he was taken into custody over the day’s events after being tempted out by Almeida, keen to exact revenge for the death of his wife Michelle Dessler and his unborn son.

6.Viktor Drazen (Dennis Hopper)
Dennis Hopper
DRAZEN was involved in season 1 and plans, along with his sons to bring down Presidential candidate David Palmer’s campaign by assassinating him.
The day is the second anniversary of his supposed death after an Operation, named Nightfall which was planned to bring kill Drazen.
The operation was undertaken by Jack under the authorisation of Palmer.
Drazen is killed after Jack believed his daughter Kim had been killed.
5. Phillip Bauer (James Cromwell)
James Cromwell
JACK’S dad worked with the Sentox gas conspiracy in season 6, and along with his other son Graem he covered up the loss of five American nukes.
After that plan failed he tried to help Cheng Zhi in China’s bid to secure Russia’s sub circuit board, which would ultimately cause a war.
Phillip was killed during the planned air strikes on one of his oil rigs at the end of the day after Jack had rescued Phillip’s grandson Josh.
4.Habib Marwan (Arnold Vosloo)
Arnold Vosloo
MARWAN was the main man behind Season 4’s terrorist attacks.
But he escapes arrest after Jack tries to save from falling off the a multi-storey car park, and he would rather martyr himself as he slips out of Bauer’s grasp falling to his death, and making CTU’s task of finding the stealth missile harder.

10. Stephen Saunders (Paul Blackthorne)
Saunders was responsible for releasing the Cordilla virus in the Chandler Plaza Hotel in Season 3, which led to the death of many guests as well as Gael Ortega, a CTU agent who tried to stop it spreading through the hotel.
Saunders gave President Palmer a series of demands but he refused to on one occasion, after Saunders wanted a list of all undercover agents abroad.
He rescinded his order to release the virus in San Francisco after he received a call from his daughter Jane, who had been captured by CTU.
Although captured he said if there was no communication between him and his men the virus would still be released.
That was until Jack Bauer threatened him with putting Jane into the hotel infected.
Whilst identifying the final courier of the virus he was shot dead by the widow of Gael Ortega.
But Bauer and Chase Edmunds found a lead with Arthur Rabens, who was at school and after being found Chase beat down Rabens, but only after he had attached the virus to his hand, leaving Jack the task of cutting it off and putting it in fridge where the virus was released without any casualties.
9. Ira Gaines (Michael Massee)

Gaines was put in charge by Andre Drazen to oversee the assassination of Presidential Candidate David Palmer and frame Jack Bauer for the murder in the first season of 24.
He had a lot of hired help throughout the day’s events which started with the capture of Kim Bauer as well as Mandy who captured Martin Belkin’s ID card and Jonathan Matijevich, who was to become Martin Belkin after plastic surgery.
Gaines used Kim as leverage over Jack who he forced to switch a key-card for one which contained incorrect data, and “kill” Nina Myers after she became alert to the switch of cards.
He then forced Bauer to go to President’s Breakfast with members of the press to frame him for the murder of Palmer, but he diverted the attack after firing a pistol causing a riot.
Kim and Teri were supposed to be killed but he changed his mind when mole Jamey Russell, In CTU rang saying it had been caused by division agents.
The Drazen’s then arrived on the scene ordering Kim and Teri again but Jack who had ambushed Kevin Carroll came to help his family as well as Rick Allen who had betrayed Gaines.
They all escaped and Jack was able to kill Gaines, after he decided he was no going to co-operate with CTU due to his fear of the Drazen’s capturing him.
8. General Benjamin Juma (Tony Todd)

Juma was first involved in Redemption before appearing in Day 7.
He had tested a biological nerve agent on his own country before bombing the village to cover it up
Juma with the help of Jonas Hodges was able to get any amount of weapons he wanted from the Starkwood head and started to train up young boys in his homeland, Sangala.
And his second in command, Ike Debaku went out for revenge on Jack Bauer after his brother Youssou
For day 7 he remained behind closed doors allowing Debaku to take control of matters.
His first plan to hold the US to ransom failed after the CIP firewall was restored and Debaku had revealed co-conspirators by a chip under his skin, so he was forced into his second plan, which was to terrorize the US government.
Senator Blaine Mayer was at the head of Bauer’s trial but his chief of staff Ryan Burnett was conspiring with Juma.
Renee Walker learnt about Juma being in the country after one of his men made sure Debaku was dead, then she learnt the attack was on The White House.
He laid siege on the house and took control of it, but not before Bauer and President Taylor got to the lockdown where she could not be reached as Bill Buchanan took her GPS bracelet to divert them away from the President.
But her daughter Olivia was held hostage and Juma threatened to kill her unless she came out and was ordered to make a speech to her nation, which would be her last.
Bill and Jack discussed plans to trigger an explosion in the vault.
Buchanan sacrificed his life and blew Juma and his men to the floor.
Realising he had little options he asked his remaining men to kill the hostages but just before he was able to shoot down Blaine Mayer Bauer killed his final man Ngozi.
Juma decided to go for his weapon and attempt to shoot down Jack but Bauer was able to shoot him in the chest and his body slumped to the floor.
7. Jonas Hodges (Jon Voight)
Jon Voight
Again Hodges first appeared in Redemption before appearing in Season 7.
Hodges links with Juma was found by colleague Chris Whitley so Hodges ordered his mole, secret agent Henry Vossler and John Quinn to kill him and get rid of the evidence.
Hodges wasn’t involved in season 7 until Juma called him after President Taylor and Bauer had secured themselves in the lockdown. Hodges alerted Juma to the fact that Olivia Taylor was not accounted for.
Bauer out of federal custody chased after Ryan Burnett who had vital information but Hodges assistant, Greg Seaton had ordered John Quinn to make sure Burnett stayed quiet, and frame Bauer for his murder.
Quinn then set about getting Bauer but he was unable to and was killed by Bauer.
After finding out where they thought the weapon was on his site through Seaton they stormed it only to find it empty and Hodges ordered them off the Starkwood estate.
Hodges then got suspicious of Chairman of the Board Doug Knowles who was working with CTU to help them, and he killed Knowles by throwing him off a balcony.
Hodges threatened President Taylor with releasing them if he was not allowed a meeting with her at The Oval Office, which she agreed reluctantly to and called off the air strike at the last minute.
During the meeting their missiles has been destroyed and he and Seaton were then arrested.
Hodges was then offered a pill by Cara Bowden who was impersonating his lawyer otherwise his family wasn’t safe.
He done so but his driver noticed him taking it and managed to make sure he did not die.
Bauer then interrogated him, assuring Hodges that to the world he was dead if he gave them names, but as he did not know any of them, the only one he knew was the one that impersonated his attorney.
Olivia Taylor, the President’s daughter ordered him to be killed because he was responsible for the death of her brother and the fact that he was still free.
But upon gaining his new name from witness protection, his was blown up as he entered a transport van, after already sounding like he was plotting a way out of it.

3. Renee Walker (Annie Wersching)

Renee first came into 24 in Season 7 as an FBI agent hand has gone into appear in the current series.
Her first action sees her go into a senate hearing to pull Jack Bauer out to try and help them in the catching of Tony Almeida, a former CTU agent, who Jack believes, is dead.
Jack goes undercover with Almeida and Emerson and Renee tries to track the pair, only it leads to her demise when caught as Jack is forced to shoot and bury her.
Jack leaves a trace to Bill Buchanan and Chloe O’Brian and she is resuscitated, before going dark and helping Jack, Bill, Chloe and Tony in the operation.
Whilst trying to capture Ike Debaku Jack and Renee are arrested, but once overturned Debaku’s car crashes and he is seriously injured.
Renee then investigates how Debaku was killed by an assassin sent for by General Juma and realises there is a planned attack on The White House.
She is deeply upset when her close companion and FBI agent Larry Moss is killed but after losing Almeida she follows leads with Jack before trying to save Jack’s daughter Kim who is being targeted.
She locates Jack and helps disarm a bomb attached to him by Tony and they are able to capture Tony just before he kills Alan Wilson, the man behind Michelle’s death.
She then interrogates Wilson but turns off all the recording equipment before putting down her badge and entering his holding room.
In Season 8 she has been recruited by CTU Los Angeles to track down the nuclear rods in the control of Russians, but she is too emotional and ends up killing Vladimir Letanin, stabbing him 17 times before stabbing Jack accidentally.
She is then framed by CTU for not capturing the rods and the killing of Letanin but Brian Hastings lets her off in the end after Jack agrees to help CTU.
CTU is taken out by an EMP bomb Chloe calls Renee to say Jack is missing, and she just steps in at the right time and kills a sniper that is just about to shoot Jack.
But they fail to rescue President Hasan and the two leave CTU and go back to Jack’s apartment where the two make love. But she is then shot by a sniper after she realises she recognised one of the medical team which killed Samir and after being rushed to hospital she has suffers too much damage and dies.
2. Mandy (Mia Kirshner)

As a terrorist and professional assassin Mandy has appeared in Seasons 1, 2 and 4
In Season 1 she is part of a group that plan to assassinate presidential candidate David Palmer.
She steals a card of photographer Martin Belkin after having sex and escapes the plane after planting a bomb on it.
She is then taken to Ira Gaines, the leader of Andre Drazen’s hit squad where she demands money for the ID card she has stolen which would allow a lookalike of Belkin to enter a breakfast being held by David Palmer.
She has an accomplish and girlfriend in Brigit who asks for double the agreed fee with Gaines who relents and takes them to the location of the card before killing Brigit and hiring Mandy for an unspecified job which she agrees to.
In Season 2, she had the briefest of appearances in the final episode as she shakes President Palmer’s hand with a toxin planed to kill Palmer.
She returns in season 4 for the last three episodes as she captures Tony Almeida, working alongside Habib Marwan.
She helps Marwan earlier in the series the kidnapping of Secretary of Defense James Heller and his daughter Audrey Raines.
Once she has caught Tony she phones Michelle Dessler at CTU, after reading a story on her laptop about Michelle and Tony and his dismissal from CTU, to try and use their relationship as leverage to get out but after she hires 2 decoys to act as herself and Tony, to make CTU think they are both dead, but Jack fails to fall for this and finds them in the car lot.
Just as she is about to kill Tony, Curtis Manning steps in and hits her over the head.
Their is a reluctance from the government to offer her immunity in exchange for details on Marwan due to her past attempts to kill President Palmer but her wish is granted and that is the last we see of her.
She is still alive and her actions after series 4 are not known so could she be involved in season 8? Who knows?
Elisha Cuthbert
1. Kim Bauer (Elisha Cuthbert)
Kim has appeared in six out of the eight seasons, being a main character in the first three before guest appearances in 5, 7 and 8 and is the daughter of Jack and Teri Bauer.
Season 1 sees her at risk after being kidnapped by two men, Dan and Rick, but after escaping she is then re-captured by Ira Gaines, who also captures her mother Teri.
They then flee a safe house before being split up but after being arrested, Kim is then released but whilst on her way back to CTU the car she is in is hit and she is captured again.
Taken to where Jack is being held by the Drazen’s he agrees a trade before they are re-united at CTU only to find out Teri has died
In season 2 she is an au-pair for a family in LA before Jack asks her to leave due to a nuclear bomb threat.
She finds out the child , Megan is being abused by her father Gary Matheson and tries to flee LA with her, and her boyfriend Miguel but does not get very far when he escape is foiled when the mother of Megan is found in the boot dead, with Kim and Miguel arrested for her murder.
They escape arrest after learning they are going to be sent back to CTU at Los Angeles where the threat is and after Gary re-appears, she kills him with Jack on the other end of a phone.
Jack then plans to detonate the bomb over the Mojave Desert but that would only work with him in the plane with no way of getting away before the bomb goes off, and Kim breaks down at the news.
But an already dying George Mason takes over the mission allowing Jack to live and the season ends with her in the arms of Jack.
Season 3 sees Kim working at CTU and behind her dad’s back, she is seeing his assistant Chase Edmunds, much to his dislike.
Chase and Kim’s relationship is put into doubt after she finds out he has a baby, but later in the day she is put in the field as a double for Jane Saunders, the daughter of the season’s bad guy Stephen.
Chase ends the day in surgery after losing his hand to stop the threat and she chooses a life with him and his daughter.
Season 5 sees her re-united with her dad after she learns his “death” is fake. She has since split up with Chase because of the faked death.
Jack takes a dislike to her new partner, a much older psychologist named Barry Landes.
She survives the attack on CTU, but reveals that although she loves her father very much, she cannot be around him as something bad always happens when he is around.
Season 7 sees her re-appear after the news that her father only has a short time to live and could help with some new surgery which could save him, but Jack refuses her help and she plans to fly back to her daughter, Teri, and husband Steven.
But she is taken hostage at the airport and pursues one of them down the stairs after the other one is killed. She manages to stop him escaping and gains his laptop which helps CTU locate Tony Almeida.
As Jack falls into an induced coma she insists that she helps her dying father.
In season 8 Jack plans to start a new life with Kim, Teri and Steven in Los Angeles but after the day’s events start to happen Kim insists he stays there and helps out CTU, after all, if something bad happened he could have stopped he would never have lived with himself.

Aisha Tyler
6. Marianne Taylor (Aisha Tyler)
In season 4 of 24 she became a CTU analyst and infiltrates the Los Angeles base in order to work for Henry Powell.
Taylor forced her way in against Curtis Manning’s will and she quickly learnt about Chloe O’Brian and Edgar Styles helping Jack in a covert operation.
Chloe was soon caught and detained and Marianne used this to manipulate Edgar into doing what she said.
She then framed Sarah by planting a voice recorder on her system.
Edgar soon took control of Taylor’s computer and realised it was her that planted the device on Sarah’s computer.
As she tried to escape her car was blown up, killing an agent, but she went on to help CTU by going to Powell’s office but as soon as they got into the office she was killed by Powell’s men.
5.Nadia Yassir (Marisol Nichols)
Marisol Nichols
Nadia became head of CTU for a small period of time after Bill Buchanan was fired.
She fought hard in her time in CTU as she often had restricted access due to her Muslim routes and is suspected of leaking information by CTU agent Mike Doyle but is later cleared.
She won the affection of Mylo Pressman’s heart and the pair share a kiss and to prove Mylo loved her he gave up his life when the Chinese invaded CTU and instead of Nadia standing up as head of CTU he does and ultimately gets shot.
4. Olivia Taylor (Sprague Grayden)
Olivia came into 24 in season 7 as the daughter of President Allison Taylor.
She is distant with her parents at the start but grows to work with her as Chief of Staff after she leaked some vital information she forced Ethan Kanin into stepping down.
She was used as leverage when General Benjamin Juma invaded the White House after originally escaping capture with Agent Aaron Pierce.
After leaking some information to the TV company CNB reporter Ken Dallao and after a meeting about Starkwood he again rang her up and asked for any information but she refused only to find out he already knew about the weapon of mass destruction.
She met up with him in a hotel and after he basically demanded a night with her to not leak the information. But she secretly recorded all what he said and used it against him.
Agent Pierce thought something suspicious was happening after she arranged a meeting with Martin Collier, a former colleague to help her kill Starkwood head Jonas Hodges.
They arranged to hire a hit man to kill Hodges but the gilt she was going to live with became too much and she did not transfer the necessary funds to the hit man but he carried out the act anyway, meaning she had to transfer the funds otherwise it would fall on her.
Kanin was called by Pierce and managed to get some information about her dealings before and after the confront her she admits it.
This leaves her mother with a tough decision as to whether to let her be arrested or not, and in the end she puts her own daughter behind bars.
